about the title
A metaphive is a metaphor that works so well as to deserve a higher level of recognition. Coined by an anonymous wordsmith, and re-coined by the author of this blog without knowledge of the first, the term also apparently refers to at least two musicians: 1) an aspiring gangsta/Christian rap artist, and 2) an aspiring mixmaster of electronica. I am neither of them.
